Terms of Service for MateDroid

Welcome to MateDroid! These terms of service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MateDroid app ("App") which is integrated within the Slack platform to provide features such as polls, anonymous messages, check-ins, lunch statuses, and do not disturb statuses (collectively, "Services"). These Services are intended to assist team leaders and members in improving communication and team management.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Use License

  1. Grant of License: Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App solely for your internal business purposes.
  2. Restrictions: You shall not (i) license, sell, rent, lease, transfer, assign, distribute, host, or otherwise commercially exploit the App; (ii) modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, reverse compile, or reverse engineer any part of the App; (iii) access the App in order to build a similar or competitive service.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your user account. You agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that all user content you provide through the App is accurate and lawful.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

4. Content

  1. User Content: You own the rights to the content you create and share through the App. However, by posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the content in relation to providing the Services.
  2. App Content: We or our licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the App and any content provided through the App, excluding your user content.

5. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy, available at matedroid.com/privacy, explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of these changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
